Autism and Friends

So my son is 11 and has never been invited to anyones house let alone have a "playdate" that was not arranged. This is all thanks to Autism. He never even wrote a paper until last year he would refuse to write and he had friends but never a friend who wanted to play beyond school.

The Birth of a Superstar



50 years ago my Aunt Joan was born. Hers has not been an average life. She arrived prematurely, possibly having an unfortunate run-in with the umbilical cord on the way out. Regardless of the cause, she has had a special place in our family because she did not develop in a typical manner.
