So remember when I said that this child is stubborn?
Well, I wasn’t lying.
He flipped. Again.
Which means we’re on a one track train towards c-section-ville.
Don’t worry, I’ve still got five pieces of entertainment for ya today:
1. The season finale of Honey Boo Boo (which I literally just got done forcing my hubs to watch with me) was pretty epic. If you consider kiddie Glitz pageants to be…you know…epic. Okay, let’s be honest: it’s…Continue

Remember those amazing molasses cookies I was raving about last week? Well, silly me forgot to post the recipe! Here it is in all it’s glory – and just so that you know, this IS a huge batch on it’s own. Feel free to half it if you’re worried about consuming all these cookies in one sitting (or in 48 hours, like my hubby did…)
What you’ll need:...Continue reading at …Continue

Well…that whole 35 percent chance of having the baby by Monday night isn’t looking so promising anymore! The kid is still cooking – and KICKING – in my belly. Which I really don’t think could possiblyget any bigger than it is right now!
But since the babe didn’t make his big appearance this weekend, I definitely got to check out the season finale of the Real Housewives of New Jersey – did you? It was pretty fantabulous – although slightly sad to see everyone’s…Continue

Ok, I have to admit that I really don’t mind being pregnant – in the whole sense of we get a baby out of the deal and all. That being said, the end of pregnancy really makes you appreciate the whole…not being pregnant side of life. The top ten things that I won’t miss about being pregnant:...Continue reading at The Mommyhood Project

Fact: I’m 39 weeks pregnant and would like to have this baby ASAP. I’m not so sure my hips can take another week of stretching.
Fact: The Real Housewives of New Jersey season finale is Sunday.
Question: Which one will happen first? You be the judge.

So now that I’m 39 weeks pregnant with a babe that’s actually facing the right direction for once, it’s time to try to get this show on the road. Mama’s tired of being pregnant and swollen. So, my dear child, it is time for you to be served with an eviction notice from my belly. Which essentially means: it’s time to start looking at some natural ways to induce labor...Continue reading at …Continue

My family spent a full week getting excited about doing a TRi KiDS™ triathlon scheduled for a Sunday this summer. Our kids have participated in triathlons for as long as I can remember. For a big family – a triathlon day is…Continue

Last night – well really early this morning – I woke up with some serious contractions. We’re talking to the point of tears here. And for a girl with a super high pain tolerance – well, this was surprising. Ricky heard me crying – yes, I can admit it – and woke up.
“What’s wrong? What’s going on?” he asked.
“I’m having contractions (sob) and they REALLY HURT!”...Continue reading at …Continue

So you guys know that I office from my house – and being able to do this is one of the biggest reasons why I absolutely love my job. Sure, I do go into client’s offices from time to time, but being able to work from home more often than not has been huge for both my own productivity and for what we need as a family. I get a lot of questions about how to be successful working from home, so I created a new series all about just that. Last week I wrote about…Continue

The only problem? An unforeseen snowstorm that hit the entire state that night.
Here’s the thing about having a husband that runs a commercial snow crew: if it snows, he’s on. It doesn’t matter if we’re several hundred miles away on a weekend getaway. Snow = hubby’s on the phone. A lot. So while this little mama may have been ready to hit the hay, Ricky’s phone had different ideas for our night. Basically that it was going to go off every twenty minutes until six am...Continue reading…Continue

I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a really good mashed potatoes recipe. But I have to tell you a little secret: this is one of those foods that you can really go by the “simpler is better” motto. Seriously – basic ingredients are all you need to pull off the most delicious mashed potatoes of your life. Bonus: it makes them super simple and easy to whip up. Which you can probably appreciate – especially if you live in a meat and potatoes household like mine! And if you like to mix…Continue

I literally nested all weekend. Which means that my house looks and smells amazing, but I still don’t have a baby yet! Well, unless you count Lucy as a big baby. Let’s just say that she’s been a little needy. To the point that she thinks she’s a full-on lap dog. Ever had a dog her size try to curl up in your lap? Ok, ok – she doesn’t try to curl up in my lap since I really don’t have one right now. She does, however, try to curl up in Ricky’s lap and it’s completely hilarious.…Continue
