Cool Balloon Car Craft: Easy, Fast and Super Fun!

Looking for a fun, easy craft to do with the kids this weekend? Check out our awesome balloon car. Get the neighborhood kids in on the fun and who knows...maybe balloon car drag races down the block will become a summer tradition!
Materials
Ruler
Marker
¾-inch-thick sheet of Styrofoam
Scissors
Drawing
Compass
Party balloon
Bendy straw
Tape
4 pins
The Steps
1. Mark off and cut a 3” x 7.5” piece of Styrofoam.
2. Use your compass to draw 4 circles of 3” diameters.
3. Stretch out your balloon by blowing it up and letting out the air a few times.
4. Insert the end of flexible straw near the bending section into the balloon.
5. Wrap the balloons nozzle with tape so you can blow the balloon up with the straw.
6. Lay the straw lengthwise down the middle of the Styrofoam rectangle with 1 or 2 inches of the open end of the straw hanging off the Styrofoam.
7. Place the straw upwards so you can place the tape onto the straw.
8. Push a pin through the center of each Styrofoam circle and place them onto the car to make wheels.
9. Blow up the balloon through the straw and ‘Let ‘er rip!’… don’t forget to let go!

What a great educational and fun activity, especially now that summer is here - the long days call for some new project ideas.

This looks amazing! My kids really love to get into a science project so I think I will put them to the test with this one :)
